What a wonderful day! Our Christmas Fair is over for another year, and Santa has moved on to the next stop on his busy schedule. The Trustees would like to thank everyone who came and made the event a success. The stall holders who brought their wares (and cleared away impressively quickly afterwards); the many volunteers who lightened the load; the cake bakers; and everyone who came to buy, to eat, to bring children to see Santa – all of you made the magic happen! It was wonderful to see the Centre humming with young and old. A special moment for me was seeing a young lady’s face light up on winning ‘Big Ted’ at the tombola. Although the final total has not been totted up, between the café, trustees tables, stallholder fees and donations the Centre made over £1,300. This is vital money which will be ploughed back into improving the building and facilities. It also helps us to secure larger grants.
